This term is one you may have heard lately, in particular as it relates to the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) summit in 2020, which had the theme ‘The Great Reset’ as they argued that the COVID crisis was an opportunity to address the burning issues facing the world. According to the BBC, the term ‘Great Reset’ has received more than eight million interactions on Facebook and has been shared almost two million times on Twitter since the WEF initiative was launched. Matter of fact I heard our own Prime Minister use it in his election campaign along with many many other world leaders.
My warning is – when you hear the same words coming out of politicians mouths and the media from many many different areas of the world – we are being programmed!
The idea is that global capitalism should be transformed so that corporations no longer focus solely on serving shareholders but become custodians of society by creating value for customers, suppliers, employees, communities and other ‘stakeholders’.
Instead of corporations serving many stakeholders, in the multi-stakeholder model of global governance, corporations are promoted to become official stakeholders in global decision-making, while governments are relegated to just being one of many stakeholders. In practice, corporations become the main stakeholders, while governments take a backseat role, and civil society is mainly window dressing. Imagine, when (not if) this agenda comes to pass, we as a society will be under the thumb of – the rich and influential of our world, the banks, the big corporations, the media, the pharmaceutical industry and the big tech companies.
I will be actually posting an article in the next couple of weeks that will focus on how this might work and who are the names we need to be aware of but today I’d like to share with you some Biblical references that show us how and why God actually issued Resets since creation and what’s coming next.
To begin I’d like you to be reminded of where you can find out what’s coming.
Isaiah 42: 9 “See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.” In other words – before things happen God tells us – we need not be surprised.
Now considering what we’re hearing about the Great Reset – how all society will be changed into the way the elite want it to be let’s see what the Bible tells is going to happen.
Isa 46: 9-10 “Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning from ancient times, what is still to come.” In short – He (God) declares the end from the beginning. The Bible is a book of Prophecy and we can know exactly what’s coming in this world. Listen to the writer of Ecclesiastes reinforce this truth.
Ecclesiastes 1: 9-10 “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, ‘Look! This is something new”? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time.” Not only is there nothing new under the sun – it’s a repeating cycle of – what was once, will be happening again. The problem is – people don’t learn! History repeats itself. It’s actually a history of man’s falling – they start out right but fall and have to start over and over and over….
Let’s look at clear examples of this in history – how man falls into sin and how then God has to send judgment and then a Reset – start over.
1st – Adam and Eve – started in a perfect environment but they disobeyed the one command to not eat of the tree of good and evil and everything changed – God sent the curse (Genesis 3: 17-19) and death entered the world – the first Reset
2nd – the time of Noah and the flood – people had followed the leading of the fallen angels (the sons of God) as told to us in Genesis 6: 1-4 that led to God declaring “The Lord saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.” (6:5) God says man had become so sinful and evil that He would “wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth” (6:7) God did, however, find one man who “found favor in the eyes of the Lord” (6:8) So what do we see – man falls into sin – God sends judgment – Noah is the beginning of a Reset. Remember that God made it clear to Noah and his descendants what they were to do “Gen 9:7 “As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it.” But....
3rd – Nimrod – the time of human government (a one world order) where he not only tries to kick God out by building a tower where they could be ‘like God’. It’s clear they are disobeying God’s command- to spread out on the earth – so God had to judge them by confusing the languages and scattering them over the face of the whole earth. Going on to Deut 32: 8-9 we hear Moses words explaining what else happened. “When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided all mankind, he set up boundaries for the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. For the Lord’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance.” With the ‘sons of God’ as their leaders more rebellion is yet to come while Yahweh the one true God was preparing a special people for his own – another Reset.
4th – Abraham – who God called and declared that he would make a mighty nation of him. You can see how this special family grew and grew but what did they do? – they fell into sin which led God to judge them and they were put into captivity as slaves in Egypt for about 400 years. Reset
5th – Moses – God uses him to deliver his people out of Egypt and to set up the time of the law which was meant to be the school master to bring them to Jesus who shows up exactly when prophecy said he would show up. What do they do? They crucify him – they reject him – so God’s judgment fell – the Jews were dispersed and Jerusalem fell. Reset
6th – The Apostles were sent out and we enter into the Church age – the age of grace where we have liberty and freedom and salvation by faith and not of works. The bad news is found in 2 Thess 2:3 where we hear that the church age is going to end in a falling away – an apostasy. I would suggest that is where we are now, as we witness so many in our world no longer following Christ (even those in the church, falling away and following other gods). Hence we are being sinful and are moving into a time of God’s judgment – another Reset – the arrival of the Anti-Christ and the time called the Tribulation.
What will it be like? We will see Global governance by this Anti-Christ fitting in perfectly with this new World Order and the goal of this new United Nations agenda – the Great Reset. What will be the result? The whole world will fall into the worship of Satan just before the judgment of God – one more time hitting the – Reset button.
7th – Jesus comes back – hallelujah – The Great Reset, for believers and ultimate judgment for those whom God is preparing for the end of the age.
So what is the Good News in what we’re hearing? God is in control and He has prepared a way for those who continue to walk in His way and who choose to return to the family of God.
My desire is that my readers will become messengers of hope to all who are being blinded by the lies we hear spoken from world leaders and media deceivers on a daily basis. Let’s make sure we are ready to cope with the enemy and that we know who the enemy is and that our friends and family members know who the Saviour is. GOOD NEWS
